There's nothing more depressing than being told that today is the most miserable day of the year. If you're a cheery, glass half full, Pollyanna type, then you'll probably subscribe to the notion that a chirpy attitude and a big smile goes a long way to making you feel more positive about most things. So it stands to reason that being fed a notion of a particularly miserable day, is likely to have just the opposite effect.
So I take your grim 'Blue Monday' and raise you 'Bloom Monday' instead.
Isn't that better?
who said that? that's just silly! I've had the most loveliest of days... I've been very productive in a relaxed way, I know exactly what I'm going to cook for dinner (risotto) and what I'm going to watch on tv later (Death in Paradise), a friend offered to bring my son back for me later... so really... blue Monday Schlue Monday.
(I love those flowers. Can never find them)

Ranunculus? Pretty aren't they?
I had a lovely day too, stayed in my dressing gown all day long and now I have a glass of red wine to drink. Cheers!
