Friends of ours have welcomed a new baby into their family this week. I had a sneek peek of his/her nursery prior to the big arrival and there was a fab tree mural complete with mummy, daddy and baby owl. So I thought a matching banner (made from this tutorial at Moonstitches) might be in order.
The only thing was I had to wait to make it until the baby's name was revealed. And hooray for a short one - done and dusted in no time!
so adorable!

I haven't seen that pattern in so long - it looks as wonderful now as it ever did. What a lovely way to welcome wee Theo.

What a lovely present for a new baby. Actually it's the kind of thing my girls would love now ... might have to go on the makes list for the autumn. I'm in the grip of the 'makies' myself, only the holidays are limping on so there is never quite enough time to really get going on anything crafty, although I have made rather a lot of jam recently!

Tweedy owls. What could be better at the beginning of September? These give me the urge to buy pencils.
