Those are delightful! Some of G's and my favorite Christmas decorations are things that the children he teaches have given him over the last couple of years. First thing that we put out is a candle very like yours with "snowmen" drawn all the round it. A child gave it to him in his very first teaching practice and neither of us have been able to bring ourselves to light it!

Great teacher's gifts. We have the play tomorrow a dancing star - hope no-one falls over!

Anna Willett

they are awesome! what a great idea!

Diana

Love the candles, they look great! Happy baking this weekend.

Diana

Ps is your christmas advent book helping with the stress and pressure? Hope so!

Lucy Locket-Pocket

I must get the little Lockets to have a go at those candles - they look fabulous! I'm very impressed that you are baking for all those teachers too! Lucy x

Gina

I love your candles!

Alexis

So sweet!

Great job on these, a perfect gift for so many teachers. I did wake my husband last night at 2am to ask him if we needed to get gifts for the music and gym teacher, and what about the lunch monitors and the secretary...needless to say I worry about these matters on my own!

dottycookie

Lovely lovley. And a great reminder that we need to finish ours too!

Oh Ali thank you - what a great tutorial you linked to - I am going to do these with my kids next week but it occurs to me that with the right stamps they are great presents anytime...

Louise

What a lovely idea. Thank goodness my girls only have the one teacher each!

Victoria Leather

They look fab! Think even my crafting abilities can stretch to that. Enjoy the last week of school and (hopefully) the quiet domestic bliss of some baking this weekend.

kristina

The candles are fab! But I can't believe the number of teachers. I only had one each year! K x

Julie

they look wonderful! What a great idea - I'm off to visit Lina now and look up the tutorial - still haven't got our teacher pressies done!

oh sweet!

Thank god we did an all-parents collection this year for all the teachers... I found the whole thing very stressfull.

Why? don't know.

Love those candles though... No 2 would have loved doing it... but I would have to sit on No 1 to make him do it.

Not worth it.

Happy baking!

rhubarb

This is a great idea. One I will file away, for sure!

Sharon

Great link, thanks!

joanna

definitely going to have a go at those with oliver if i can get my hands on some waxed paper. Did you get it from a craft shop?

Isabelle

Mums never make presents for teachers in further education. Sigh.

You're a star. The teachers will be very touched.

They turned out just perfect.

And now I have just realised that I have only a week left before the end of term. I probably should bump the teachers' gifts up the to-do list, huh?

ginny

Emma

These are wonderful - I saw some in the flash (or should that be wax) at Val's last week - so simple! Tricky to write on tracing paper when you have little hands though xx

Mary Smith

Wow! Those candles look great! I will bookmark that tutorial for next year. Merry Christmas to you!
