Ah, sock knitting by the fire, looks so cosy. Not sure if I'm up to socks yet, but am sorely tempted by that orange wool! We lit our first fire tonight too.
The girls and I did a bit of knitting while away last week and I thought of you. What a blissful scene that photo is and I just LOVE the orange sock wool. I wish I wore socks - it might have inspired me to knit a pair!!
mmm, we lit our first fire tonight too, I have been sat cosy with a book, knowing I would never knit the second sock, were I ever to embark on such a project. yours already look cosy though, and a lovely colour.
It all just looks so lovely. It will still be sometime here before we can start a fire. But I will dream that I live in the mountains and just pretend. Until I step outside that is! ;)
We've had 100 degree plus weather here. I want to be knitting in front of a cosy fire - instead I have the air conditioning on. And my mum wonders why we still haven't put the fake logs on our fire...
Love these Ali. I haven't knit socks yet, but have been wanting to give it a try. Do you have any suggestions for a good place to start?

my socks are green and purple... and they are a commission. I like them so much I know I'll feel bereft when I have to let them go... sigh.
Isn't autumn come around obscenely fast?

Taking 2 minutes peace to rest my blue bum I just read your comment on magpiefiles and laughed so hard! You are a funny lady...x
