It seems fitting that my one and only post of this month is my mosaic round up. In years gone by, this lack of recording during favourite month of all, would have horrified me. Usually it is full of making and baking, twinkling and festivity. But this year has been an odd one.
In part due to that top right picture, which is Mark in A&E, having dislocated his kneecap playing Rugby. He's on the mend, but he did miss out on going skiing and I consequentially owe my family a great many favours for having an unexpected houseguest the week before Christmas (which has to be about the least convenient time to have a teenager thrust upon you).
So this month, the mosaic doesn't speak about the big things, the bling and the sparkle and the making merry. But more about the smaller and quieter pleasures. And being enormously thankful for the people who dig you out of a hole without a second thought. The real shining stars of December.
