The cutting patch is beginning to bear fruit. It was a bit of a leap of faith putting bulbs and seeds in the bare earth and waiting for Mother Nature to do her thing.
But it's a good lesson for those like me who tend to succumb to the lure of instant gratification. Sometimes good things really do come to those who plan and wait. And those crazy orange tulips - they lasted a week in the vase.
Yes, things in the garden really are looking rosy.

gorgeous photos, ali! the one of the cat is quite striking!

Happy Easter you green fingered thing! Love the orange tulips, I have a bit of a perverse (for me) love for orange flowers. Poppies, pansies, marigolds bring them on. Hope you get a good stash of chocolate tomorrow... Ax

wonderful pictures Ali. I love the magnolia blooms and the cat, who looks quite surprised to be caught on film! Glad that your patience has paid off and you're enjoying the floral fruits of your gardening labours. Have a lovely Easter weekend x

Just lovely. We filled a bare patch with bulbs last autumn and they are a joyful profusion now.
But if your flower patch is bearing fruit are you sure you planted the right things? (Ducking and running away)
