Today we are back in term-time routine and really noticing the impact of the hour change. A glorious sunrise was a wonderful reward for the early start.
But coming home from school in the dark was not so good.
I'm thinking it's time to break out the sparkly white lights. One tiny way of making winter a little more palatable.

I was thinking it was time to light my tealights and find some seasonal fragrances to burn.

I was so tempted by sets of mini fairy lights in John Lewis recently. They were only £8. My inner thrifter kicked in though, and I walked on by. I regret it now. Perhaps I'll live vicariously through yours.

I just bought some new fairy lights today, it's never the wrong time of year for fairy lights.

Count me in on the fairy lights plan. And thanks for reminding me to savor the next few days before we turn the clocks back over here!

Oooh! Do you think we can break out the fairy lights already? What a fabulous idea! Lucy xx

I've got the fairy lights out and I'm crocheting flowers for them! Never too early for fairy lights!

This picture, exactly these Didcot towers, remind me of all the years we are "almost there". Each autumn , at midterm , we travel 12 hours from Holland to see this sunset and know that in a few minutes we will arrive at my sisters doorstep. Thanks for the nice picture.

My husband keeps declaring 'not until December' every time I mention breaking out the Christmas decorations. Now you have me thinking that just bringing them out bit by bit might be the way to go. I'm guessing the day that the tree puts in an appearance will be the one to give it away, mind...

Oh my goodness. Didcot Power Station. What memories they bring back. On a clear day we could see them from our flat in OXFORD!!! As I worked in Didcot, that was not a good thing!
