So, that was Christmas then. All over for another year. It was so very lovely. But feeling slightly let-down afterwards seems inevitable.
Perhaps there's a secret knack of taking pleasure in the aftermath. But I have yet to find it.
I have an irresistible urge to just get on with the New Year now.
Perhaps that is the secret - to look forward and not back. So in that spirit, here's my resolution for 2010:
You can't very well dodge a resolution worn about your person can you? And it's a great deal more fun than the loose wight, do more housework, yada yada yada variety.
From here.

I like that - I think I'll have it as my resolution this year!

Happy New Year!! I love the pendant and the sentiment.

I love the after-Christmas. Lots of nothing to do, and new things for the Lattes to amuse themselves with. And brownies.

I like that resolution! We will celebrate Christmas today as it was the first day we could all be together. We watched movies and had a popcorn buffet on Christmas day. It was pretty low key. I think in the future we'll have a PJ day with a movie and popcorn buffet. I think the small bits of fun like that can help avoid the let down feeling. That and I always start making holiday cards or ornaments between Christmas and New Years, so I have a head start for the next year.

If you made that yarn wreath I am VERY impressed. It looks awesome--mine looked pretty bad :) Your resolution is perfect--can't wait to follow your making on the blog.

love that sentiment, and the pendant. xx
we always have a pj day on Boxing day, it seems to help unwind, and relax everyone into a low key enjoyment of everything, no pressures, just a housefull of goodies, no expectations either, and hopefully that will last for the rest of the week. and if not, I shall encourage huge amounts of chocolate eating in a reverse healthy eating resolution xxxx

I love that "poster" - definitely what 2010 should be all about!! Lucy xx

What an excellent sentiment!
We're having after Christmas fun - went to see a huge flock of swans being fed at the nearby wetlands reserve today which was freeeeeeezing but fab at the same time.
In fact I think this is the first year I haven't felt the post Christnas let down. It must be on its way ...

It's reassuring to know that I'm not the only one who feels a great sense of anticlimax. But I like your sentiment for the new year and I feel inspired to join you!

Yes, I agree, let's get on the with new year. I LOVE your resolution, Ali! Makes me excited just reading it.

I shall adopt that as my motto for 2010!x

I don't remember ever getting any post Christmas anticlimax and perhaps it's because it's the launching pad into our summer holidays. There is lots of sitting around in pjs going on here too but also visitors for bbq's and trips to the local pool! And we're off for a beach holiday in a week or so. Lots to do.
I really like your wreath - the text print is brilliant! And such a good sentiment on your tile necklace. My resolution though really needs to be 'start posting on my blog again'!!

Sounds like the perfect resolution to me. Here's to 2010.

Seriously? There's New Years, Chinese New Year, and Valentines Day in just the first two months of the year. I'm not going to be able to catch my breath until...um...well, ever.
Love the resolution. Now you can't run or hide from it.

Glad to hear you had a great Christmas. I love your robin wreath.
What a great pendant - very cute! A really good resolution too and one I'm sure you'll easily be able to keep too! x

I want what she's having.
I think that a lot with your blog.
And, can I join you on your resolution?
BTW, I like this week between, but that might be because we have presents everyday still, and DH is off and it really is still Christmas. See me the 15th January and I'll be down.

I always think it takes some of us busy 'doer' types a day or two to get over Christmas and sink into 'chill' mode. Personally I'm with you, I look forward to the new year and getting on with it!

And I like the sentiment of the pendant... I'll toast to that.
Let's have a good one, shall we?
