Sunday feeling
There's something different about the atmosphere in the house on a Sunday with no engagements.
A quietness.
And on a wet day, a willingness to hunker down and enjoy the domestic.
A little bit of Grand Prix watching and new sock wearing (well, one new sock anyway). I think I'll go and cast on the other one. Click clack, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Great sock, what pattern did you use? I am just trying to master socks myself. What yarn did you use as well? I am very impressed

Lovely photos Ali - hasn't it been horrid today (weather-wise). Even Wimbledon's had a downpour. Had to take No.2 to a party, and got absolutely soaked. :-(

This weather is getting me down, I have felt very grey today. I wish sock knitting would get further up my list...

Nice sock and a good grand prix by all accounts! I'm busy watching tennis whilst I knit!

Looks like domestic bliss in your house! Be grateful you're not in Cornwall right now - torrential rain for three days....

Super sock! I better knit some soon--I think I must have already forgotten everything I learned on my sock knitting course. K x

LOVE the sock! And I love Sundays for the same reason...we always take a drive through the country on our way home from church (even if sometimes its nowhere near on the way home). Its nice to soak in that last bit of weekend before the week starts all over again!

These are usually the days when someone just 'drops in'. I hope you managed to have a quiet and uninterrupted day!

We've had a few of those Sundays lately, and we love them.

I love days like those too :)
We stupidly chose to visit friends at the seaside and walked along the prom in a howling gale!!!
I prefer your version!

Humph, some of us were walking in that rain ;-)
Grand Prix? I'm saying nuffin. Though I did enjoy Wimbledon ...

Stripy socks are so much fun to knit. No fuss, just awesome colors coming together. I am knitting a lot of stripy socks this summer.

I quite like wet Sundays and not having a reason to get out of your jammies. Daddy watching sport (it's motorbike racing or cycling here), mummy knitting and the children mooching, snacking and playing with favourite toys. It's nice to have a slow-paced day mixed into the week.

We had a Sunday much like yours, and I feel like a new person for it. Sometimes just vegging out and doing not much is the best medicine!

I love quiet Sundays too, they have a certain calm energy before the business of the week. Love your pictures too.
