Want to see a 4 year old trying to look enigmatic?
I'm not so sure - he looks vaguely in pain to me. But who am I to say.
Went on a post pay-day yarn buying spree today for my ready-for-winter project. A Sarah Dallas Blanket Cardigan. Not that I'm wishing the summer away or anything. Through frankly, with hayfever this bad, Autumn will be most welcome. At leat when my yarn arrives I can hide from the pollen indoors and knit.
Happy weekend.

that is seriously funny. i think i like his version better than the original.

That's probably how Mona looked after having to sit still for hours posing...
Come and live in California! Being a winter person, I usually have little to say in favour of this place, but it does have the huge advantage in that I barely suffer from hayfever here. I used to spend a miserable two months holed up indoors, sneezing, with streaming ichy eyes and nosebleeds.
Ok, so here I just stay indoors because it's too darn hot, but at least I'm doing my bit for the enviroment by not using tissue after tissue / washing hankies all the time...

Yeah, he looks in pain to me as well.
I love that cardigan, nice winter project. I am on my winter knitting projects too, I thought people would think I was a nutcase, so glad to see you starting some as well.

Mmmm, he looks like he's grimacing...
Love the winter knitting project. What yarn are you using?

That little face plainly says 'Hurry up and take the picture Mum!'!!!
Good idea to start on the winter projects now - at least you have a chance of finishing it before the weather warms up again next spring!! The design is gorgeous - can't wait to see it made up :)

What a beautiful cardy! It looks like a very fine knit to me. I'm sure you'll do it well as your stitches are always even and lovely unlike my inconsistent, slap dash, get it done ones!!
Johnny looks older every time you snap him but then I guess he is!!

What colour yarn did you buy? The cardigan looks lovely. As does your little one - he's going to love you for that picture when he's about 17 ;-) x

It is terrible to lust so badly after a cardigan. My knitting skills are just not up to that I am afraid.
Sigh.

Hi Ali
I know what you mean about the hayfever. Its real miserable. June is my worst time of the year for it then it gradually gets better and it has been bad this year.
Hope to see your knitting when you're done although autumn sounds a long way away

The cardy looks fab - can't wait to see the outcome. I am still planning on mastering knitting, but may be in my dotage before I get a project completed!

What an adorable little face - which appears to be contorted in pain! Did he moan a lot?

How in the world did you do that picture? Your child is adorable.
Is it a site you go to do upload a photo or something? Too cute!

That is the most gorgeous sweater ever. I would love to start a project like that but I'm a little insecure! Maybe next fall!
