Old Year's Night
So, its nearly the new year now. Just a few hours remaining. Time to brush up the last scraps of the old year and then plunge forwards into the new.

I have a bizarre need to enter the new year, with everything tidied away. Making the house ready for whatever life has in store for us in the 365 days to come. But I wanted to put down the hoover for a moment, to drop in and thank you for sharing 2007 with me. You've been such a shining beacon of friendship and fun during what has been a difficult year in some respects. Onwards and upwards.
Albert Einstein said:
I feel that you are justified in looking into the future with true
assurance, because you have a mode of living in which we find the joy
of life and the joy of work harmoniously combined. Added to this is the
spirit of ambition which pervades your very being, and seems to make
the day's work like a happy child at play.
And that seems to me an appropriate thing to wish for all of us in the year to come. Happy 2008!

"Blwyddyn Newydd Dda" (have i said that already!??_
I wanted to say THANK YOU for your delicious blog over the last year...it has brightened many a heavy hearted day and one of the wonderful gifts of 2008 is the fact that you're on typepad! Bring on 2008 and all it can offer you...we still have our tree, DH won't pull it down untill tomorrow so i shall raise a glass to you with pine needles stuck in my socks!

I've now seen it in writing that one blogger's home is tidied once a year. That is what I've always suspected!!!
Happy New Year to you and yours in your neat and tidy retreat (if only for a very brief period before the next crafting project commences).

my husband had a go at me because I had the same 'urge'. I spent three hourse sorting out the boys room. I collected 2 bin liners of rubbish and feel sooo calm and full of achievement.
men. what do they know, eh?
