Little suckers have short lifespans, huh?!

Your dinner sounds deelish.

kirsten

poor you - a 'friend' of mine gave me goldfish for my.. 16th bday? knowing that i hated fish. they don't last long, that's true.

madmommy

Actually, just a little more fabric is on the way...I sent out your parcel last week, finally! Is your son in college yet (it took me so long!)? Hope you all enjoy!

Oh, and we once owned a fish (can't tell you his name, not to be said in polite company) who insisted in hiding in the large rock in the center of the tank. We tried to get him out and gave up, figured he'd died. A MONTH later we heard rattling from the tank at night...turns out he liked to live in the rock during the day and only came out at night...and he was still alive. Considering we spent $7 for this one fish, I was fairly perturbed! Who wants a fish you can't see!

Goldfish..the best pet to have if you want to teach your children about life..and death. We used to bury ours in the garden and even have little ceremonies. Couldn't bare the thought about flushing them down the toilet.

thanks for the fabric pick. Hope you enjoy. I'd be having a hard time selling some of those fabrics at the fair! You have received some fantastic prints.

Oh and I have never roasted my pumpking seeds...eaten them, but never cooked them myself. How long for? How hot is the oven? DO tell.

Kids, kids, kids...so unpredictable. Things you think will bother them don't. Things you think will be no big deal are huge.

Amy

You are gonna have some crazy cute moopies. Can't wait to see them.

Sorry about the fish. We successful nursed Bea's betta, Baby Saturday, through a little infection. I don't need that kind of stress I tell ya, but at least he's OK now.

Pumpkin risotto? My hero!

monica

we've tried the fish thing too. I think I was more traumatised by their (note the plural here) death than they were. So I put a halt to the whole serial fish killer thing.

I'm dedicating myself to kill basil plants from the supermarket... what's wrong with me?

My kids are lucky they're still alive!!

capello

Mmmmmm... pumpkin risotto.

Julie

Sorry to hear about Goldie - I've dipped into the serial fish killing business myself - I think I aged a couple of years over the course of a few months as we got through several 'Bibble's '. Amy never seemed to notice the change but then one little orange goldfish looks pretty much like the next. Lucky we eventually found one with a cast iron constitution and Bibble (number 6) has been with us for over a year! Good luck - by the way I definitely vote for your job - anything involving a glass of wine is tops in my book!

Kristy

So sorry I haven't got round to sending some mini moopy fabric.I know I promised but....

linda

Funny goldfish story. I took the boys to WalMart to look at the fish the other day and there were so many dead fish - the one your post reminds me of is one that was stuck to the suction part of the pump - it's little eyes long since eaten out. Ugh - great science lesson, huh?

I'm excited about your craft show coming up! It stressful, but good stress, right? I might have sounded all know-it-all-ish when I was talking about it last time. Sorry. You'll have fun!
